Fortiche: Why did you choose this career path?

I always loved movies, through the infinite amount of characters, awesome music, acting and storytelling. It was just one of my passions but when I saw I could learn 3D animation at school, I jumped on the occasion and even if I didn't really know where I was going I enjoyed the journey.

I really love animation movies and working as a 3D animator at Fortiche surrounded by great talents is a dream come true. Learning is infinite and I continue to progress which is also very rewarding.

F: Can you tell us about your career ?

After my graduation at ESMA Nantes in 2017, I moved to Belgium for three years for my first job, in the same company I did my internship at, in Antwerp.

At first I was a 3D generalist and then I got the chance to work as an animator on a feature. I also learned animation with the intermediate animation summer course of Animsquad and developed my English which I believe is necessary in this industry today. All these experiences were very rich and sometimes not easy but it never changed my love for animation.

Following the job opportunities I decided to move to Paris where I tasted working at a big studio as well as in smaller production, trying to find my way through the pandemic, crazy days !This whole time I wanted to work at Fortiche but it's only recently that I got the opportunity to move to Montpellier to work as an animator within the studio. 

F: How long have you been working with Fortiche ?

It's been a little more than five months so far. It's going great !

F: What is your role on the project or at Fortiche?

‍

The project is very appealing and refreshing, it really motivates us to push the level always further in all the different departments. As an animator, it's the first time in my career that I have paid such attention to acting, details and realism. I believe Fortiche has its own style and started a new artistic semi realistic visual trend that I am so proud to be part of today.

F : What is your best memory at Fortiche or do you have an anecdote to share with us?

One of my best memories for now is the housewarming party in Montpellier where I got to meet more colleagues and people involved in the production for the first time. The animation team of Montpellier won at the babyfoot against Paris but they soon got their revenge at the Wrap Party !
