Fortiche: Can you tell us about your career ?

I left Annecy in 2014 for my studies in Paris. Three years later, I obtained my BTS and my Licence Pro in Video Editing. I started working in television as an assistant editor with a first experience in animation with "The Man Woman Case": a 2D series project on which I met Nazim (current editor at Fortiche). He contacted me two years later to join Fortiche, before that I worked in advertising as an assistant.

F: Why did you choose this career path?

‍

I chose the path of the audiovisual because I have always watched TV, movies, series but also made my own films. In the making of a film, it's the edit that attracted me the most. The management of the rhythm or the musicality of the edit while thinking about the narrative approach of a film interested me very quickly.

F: How long have you been working with Fortiche?

‍

It's been more than two and a half years!

F: What is your role on the project or at Fortiche?

‍‍

The role of the assistant editor is to make the transition between the production departments and the edit department.
‍

Our role is technical so that the editor can concentrate on the artistic side:
- We integrate the elements necessary for the creation of the episode (Dialogues, Sounds, Music, Mixes, Storyboard, Layout, Anim, Compositing)
- The editor creates or readjusts the edit with the new elements
- We send the validated edit to all the departments that take over after our work (Storyboard, Layout, Anim, Compositing, Mixing, Music Composition, Calibration)

We can sum it up by saying that I work in Import/Export !

F: What is your best memory at Fortiche or do you have an anecdote to share with us?

‍‍

My best memory at Fortiche is when I arrive every morning in the edit department office and I'm happy to find each member #EditForEver
