Arcane Season 2 was rewarded “Best Animation” at the Shanghai TV Festival’s 2025 Magnolia Awards! Pascal Charrue (Co-Founder and Co-Director) and Hervé Dupont (Deputy CEO) were on stage for this special occasion.
The Magnolia Awards, a symbol of excellence in international TV and animation, is an essential platform for cross-cultural exchanges. This year’s festival was a grand spectacle, drawing over 40 nominated actors and an astounding 88 theatrical productions from every corner of the globe!

Sure, winning the Magnolia Award was a milestone, but we’ll also remember just as vividly the moments we spent off stage. Especially when we got to meet the Arcane community, in a setting that was anything but ordinary!
And we’re talking about TSUTAYA BOOKS—a two-story bookstore tucked inside a beautifully restored villa in the heart of Columbia Circle (Changning District). Picture this: more than 50,000 books, a seriously impressive art section, a café, and interiors designed by Hiroshi Yoneya. The place doesn’t just house creativity—it breathes it.There, we hosted an exclusive signing session and an open Q&A, where we met more than a hundred passionate fans, exchanged ideas, reflected on creative processes and shared what Arcane means to us!
To bring a piece of it back with us, we returned to France with a fan-signed edition of the Arcane artbook—a precious keepsake from an experience we’ll carry with us for a long time!
We were also proud to cheer on animation french buddies at Darjeeling Production, whose Our Summer of Freedom (Petite Casbah) earned the well-deserved Magnolia Award for “Best Storytelling,” with Antoine Colomb on hand to represent their amazing work — a powerful echo of French animation’s creativity and burgeoning influence!
