Last November, we unveiled Twilight’s End, the cinematic finale to the 2025 League of Legends narrative arc!
This project was an epic conclusion to the series of cinematics we launched for the Trials of Twilight season.
The goal?
To blend the ethereal magic of Ionia with a grounded, impactful story.Working hand-in-hand with Riot Games, we took a dense script and carved out a cinematic experience that honors the lore while showcasing our own artistic evolution!

Precision and realism at the heart of the cinematic
Led by director Stéphane Annette and our art directors Faustine Dumontier and Charlotte O’Neill, our team turned this story into a real quest for authenticity.
We focused on creating a vibrant, organic feel through our animation. We poured our energy into the intensity of the characters’ gazes and the richness of the textures to give them a life you can almost touch.. It’s this ‘hand-crafted’ touch that brings such emotional depth to the screen.

Character focus: Yunara, Xin Zhao, Atakhan and LeBlanc
To celebrate the launch, we’ve been looking back at the characters who defined this journey. Each one presented a unique creative challenge for our artists:
- Yunara: Away from traditional 3D methods, we used her dragons to experiment with more painterly techniques.
@fortiche_prod Unwavering in her devotion, Yunara channels centuries of spirit and discipline. Every strike is animated as a calm yet fierce surge, where precision, grace, and inner strength flow together like the quiet force of the spirit realm. #Fortiche #Yunara #Animation #Fortichers

- Xin Zhao: Older, weathered, and more mature. We had to balance a “rougher” aesthetic with the melancholy that defines him.
@fortiche_prod Loyalty in his veins and honor as his guide, Xin Zhao embodies a warrior both strong and vulnerable. Our animation crafts each movement to reveal the deep soul beneath the armor, capturing the weight of his sacrifice and transforming his inner emotions into a vivid, authentic story told through every glance and gesture. #Fortiche #Fortichers #XinZhao #Zaheen

- Atakhan: Our FX team leveled up for this one. Building on the experience from Beginning of the End, Atakhan’s effects were crafted with surgical precision.
Atakhan, cursed yet unstoppable, moves with relentless fury.

- Leblanc: For this shadow-dwelling schemer, we followed a grounded directive to keep her presence sharp and menacing.
Subtle as a whisper, sharp as a blade, LeBlanc moves with elusive elegance: enigmatic, graceful, and full of calculated mystery.
