We are seeking our future TD Supervisor to manage and develop our teams of technical experts in digital creation.
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO), you will hold a critical position for the performance and evolution of our technical structure. Your role is not limited to technical expertise. You will be the driving force behind the organization and mentorship of the TD teams, proactively anticipating and resolving complex issues that directly impact production.
KEY MISSIONS
Team Management and Performance

Manage and mentor the Lead and the technical expert teams, demonstrating strong leadership to enhance collective productivity.

Guarantee the team's performance and the achievement of defined department objectives (efficiency, quality, deadlines).

Define performance expectations for direct reports, in collaboration with the technology project tracking team.

Propose the budget and human resources necessary to achieve objectives, and proactively suggest improvements to the team's organization and structural evolution.

Make autonomous decisions for your teams, while adhering to internal procedures and strategic objectives.
Technical and Operational Management

Identify and resolve complex manufacturing and technical issues, demonstrating a strong capacity for anticipation.

Implement and guarantee processes to reduce the cost of production incidents.

Ensure the maintenance and reliability of existing production tools.

Conduct constant technology watch within the animated film sector and new technologies.
Communication and Functional Relationships

Communicate proactively and develop constructive working relationships with fabrication team managers (Production, Build, etc.).

Deliver high-quality, synthesized reporting that enables strategic levels to make informed decisions.

You may also be required to represent the company at events (trade shows, conferences, recruitment) and provide your expertise during commercial negotiations.

We are looking for a technical leader with solid expertise and a mindset focused on mentorship and operational efficiency.
Hard Skills
-
In-depth knowledge of the production pipeline in an animated film studio.

Experience in a similar role or at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a Lead TD role.

Proficiency in common DCCs (Digital Content Creation tools) such as Maya, Nuke, Photoshop, etc.

Proficiency in Python (2 and 3) and knowledge of current development methodologies.

Experience using production tracking tools such as Flow (Shotgrid).

Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
