Fortiche : Why did you choose this career path?

For the passion of drawing ... before being a job it is a passion! The animation world is also more relaxed than others.

F : Can you tell us about your career ?

I have always loved to draw. The trigger for my orientation was when I was in 8th grade and saw a report on television about animation and the possibility of making it my job. At that time, we didn't have the internet to help us in our orientation.

I started with a high school in “applied art” (dedicated to marketing and communication) and then I went to a master in graphic art, at the ESAG Penninghen. There was a good training in traditional drawing, but I quickly felt that the world of advertising was not necessarily for me, so I turned to animation. In 2006, I had the opportunity to find a job at Moonscoop when I left school. I worked on Code Lyoko and since then I haven't left the animation world.

F : How long have you been working with Fortiche?

I had my first contract for a commercial in 2012 and came back for Arcane in May 2017.

F : What is your role on the project or at Fortiche?

Starting from the scripts, I design with other people the sets for the storyboard. Then, depending on how the storyboard uses our designs, we prepare them for the layout.

F : What is your best memory at Fortiche or do you have an anecdote to share with us?

Thursday night parties before pandemic.
